Erosion Control Mat, also called geomat, forms a stable three-dimensional net structure. It is produced by welding multiple plastic geonet layers together. The surface is uneven and crumbly, which allows soil or sand to fill in 90% of its volume. Plants roots can go through the geomat freely to a depth of 30-40cm. In this way, geomat and soil are firmly connected to protect the slope.
